Application Deadline : April 1, 2012

The Koret Fellowship, generously funded by the Koret Foundation of San Francisco, was established to bring leading professionals in Asia and the United States to Stanford to study United States-Korea relations. The fellows will conduct their own research on the bilateral relationship, with an emphasis on contemporary relations with the broad aim of fostering greater understanding and closer ties between the two countries.
A major conference is held each year in conjunction with the Koret Fellowship program, with the current year’s Koret Fellow playing a lead role in organizing the conference and in inviting eminent scholars and experts on contemporary Korea to participate in the panels.  A public keynote address by a prominent figure is an important feature of the event.
One fellow is selected for each academic year and provided a monthly stipend for nine months.
Submission deadline
Applicants must submit a CV, two letters of recommendation, and a research proposal (of no more than 1,000 words), by the fellowship deadline for the next academic year.
The Koret Fellowship commenced in the 2008-2009 academic year
